Building a Bridge: CanCham ESBC and Hong Kong Canada Business Association (HKCBA)

The Visit of the Hong Kong Canada Business Association (HKCBA)

Delighted to have HKCBA visiting us on December 2, 2019 during their trip to Hong Kong to attend the HKTDC Hong Kong Forum.

HKCBA sees CanChamHK has an important partner, continuing the bridge from Canada to Hong Kong to China and SE Asia. We have been in partnership to present the annual TransPacific Entrepreneurial Conference (Note) since 2014.

The Entrepreneur and Small Business Committee with representatives from ExCo and the Governors’ Council including Madeleine Behan, David Armitage, Stephen Chu, Brian Brown, Casey Lau  and Sophia Chan-Combrink as well as Michele Anderson (Trade Commissioner CG of Canada in Hong Kong),  welcomed Craig Lindsay (Immediate Past National Chair), Cindy Ho (National Vice Chair and Secretary), Joseph Chaung (Toronto President), Zoheir Hasanbhai (Toronto Immediate Past President).  and Vanessa Wright (Executive Director).

Jointly presented by the HKCBA and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, the Annual Transpacific Entrepreneurial Conference is tailored to educate Canadian startups, SMEs and corporations alike on the advantages of conducting business with Asia through Hong Kong.

This conference serves as a bridge, connecting members to industry experts and professionals with in-depth market intelligence. We heard first hand experiences from Canadian firms operating in Hong Kong, why entrepreneurs are increasingly using Hong Kong as their link to mainland China and government organizations on their initiatives to support market expansion efforts.
